4/8 - Status of Suspension: We continue to remain hopeful that there will be a Little League season. Below is what is known now and advanced information on what the possibilities are.
- Our current plan to suspend the season through at least May 11th remains in-effect. Our next board meeting is April 23rd; we will likely have more info by then and we'll use that meeting to determine what we can about our future plans and send another update to the parent group on April 24th.
- Our decision to end the suspension will continue to be based on guidance from multiple levels - National, State, Regional, and Little League International itself. While we typically do what the schools do, we could see a possibility of wanting to resume prior to the end of the school year - if, for example, the CDC, Little League, and WA State guidance all agree it is safe to resume youth sports in general with no restrictions prior to mid-June. This is currently a possibility only.
- We've reached out to the NKSD Fields Coordinator to see what impact this closure might have on our ability to use the school fields, when/if we feel it is safe to resume. Even if we can't use the school fields, we'll do what we can to "make it work" as best as possible.
Thank you and stay safe
