Volunteer with North Kitsap Little League

North Kitsap Little League is an all-volunteer organization serving over 800 children in our community. Managing, organizing, and planning for Baseball, Softball, and T-Ball programs is a year-round activity. A small group of dedicated parents and civic-minded individuals give their time throughout the year to keep the leagues running. During the season, these volunteers need your help!

Volunteering can be as simple as bringing snacks and refreshments to a game, or as involved as helping coach, umpire, or manage a game. Big or small, your help is always appreciated.

Please be generous with your time. Remember...it's about the kids!

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities

• Manager – Organizes practices, pre-game preparation, and game-time strategy. Serves as a role model and sets standards for players, coaches, parents, and fans. Email the Coach Coordinator to get started.
• Coach – Assists the manager during practices and games with instruction, strategy, and team management. Maximum 2 per team during games. Email the Coach Coordinator to get involved.
• Practice Coach – Helps the manager during practice with skills development. Email the Coach Coordinator to sign up.
• Umpire – Acts as an official judge and rules arbiter during games. Email UIC to get involved.
• Team Parent – Liaison between the manager and parents, coordinating volunteer contributions for the team. Speak with your team’s manager to help.
• Concession Stand – Coordinates the team's volunteer schedule for service in the concession stand. Sign up here.
• Field Prep Crew – Assists with field preparation before games and clean-up after games. Check with your team’s manager to coordinate.
• Field Maintenance – Volunteers to help maintain fields for play. Duties include mowing, fertilizing, patching holes, and keeping fields in playable condition. Contact Field Maintenance to help.
• Scorekeeper – Records official team statistics, including pitch count, outs, balls/strikes, and runs. (Not required for T-ball.) Click here for a helpful Scorekeeping guide.
• Board Member – Participates in the North Kitsap Little League Board of Directors to help guide the league’s operations and ensure a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for over 800 youth in our community. Email the President for information about joining the board.
• As Needed – Volunteers in any capacity the league requires, including concessions or special events like "Clash on the Diamond."
